First of all, I have no idea if there's such an adapter, or if it is because of it.
What I can safely say that the original Microsoft controller with the Play and Charge Kit included USB cable have no input lag.
I myself also play on a One X with an Elite Controller and use the included USB cable only to charge the battery of the Play and Charge Kit and have no input delay.

Actually, I can only recommend using original controllers. Of course the prices are often higher but the quality and functionality are 100%. This also applies to the Play and Charge Kit.
