PC with Xbox in a party?

I just want to ask if I can download the Xbox app on my PC and then talk to my friend who plays on the Xbox, would that work?

Then we would play zsm MC and talk.

The different devices are irrelevant but not the version. But basically it works

Yes, parties, chats and the like can be opened between Windows computers and Xbox consoles without any problems and of course they can be used.

The minimum requirement is a Microsoft account.

Another option would be Discord via Xbox or Windows app.
