I recently installed a WLAN card in my recently purchased PC, initialized all the drivers and everything was fine.
When I joined a matchmaking online the next day, I was surprised by a ping of 700. Sure, the PC is right at the top of the house, but the XBox 360 next to it only sometimes had problems with the WLAN, which didn't affect the ping.
When I pointed the antennas downwards (towards the router) it was visibly better, but the gaming experience is still not "enjoyable".
The PC is close to a wall, turned away from the router (repositioning would be bad, but it will soon be possible). What can I do to get a reasonably adequate gaming experience?
Turn the antenna sideways and align it with the axis towards the router. Otherwise, a stand with an antenna on top and a cable would not be a bad idea. It is possible that you are too shielded by the wireless antenna directly behind the computer.
Thank you so much! It can be really good.
