I pre-ordered a Playstation 5 and my brother still has an Xbox Series X available that I could buy for 500. But now I don't know if 2 game consoles will be too many how do you see that? What is your opinion
Two consoles would be too many.
I wouldn't do it.
I would have waited first to see how the consoles actually show up in use, or whether one or the other teething problem has to be ironed out. In addition, experience shows that the consoles are cheaper after Christmas and with a little luck you can find the first used ones.
It is also a question of space. And mainly you will only use one anyway.
I would just ask myself two questions:
Can I afford both consoles?
Is there enough content for both consoles that interest me?
With 1. Of course also consider follow-up costs - PS Plus, Xbox Live, etc.
With 2. Pay special attention to exclusives - if you mainly play multiplatform titles, you don't need a second console. But if you are interested in both PS and Xbox exclusives or you are interested in exclusive services (e.g. Game Pass) - then the second console can be worthwhile.
One is already too many
First use the PS5, then take a look at the development of the XBox. If after half a year you still think you need both, just buy them.
Black friday is coming, maybe the series x will be a little cheaper?
The gamepass is awesome i have to say but i have always been a playstation player and i have to say that this year is really difficult for me and i honestly never had to own both consoles.
I got the digital edition of the ps5, and i think it's kind of expensive to spend 80 euro on a game, so the gamepass makes a more meaningful impression on me
Possibly. Yes, but from my point of view there are too few new titles for the new XBox. You will not be able to use them fully at the moment. Only after a few months will a few interesting games gradually appear. I would wait. Nothing is running away from you. That's why you've got the PS5 first.
