Want to get me a controller that I can play on PC with. An Xbox controller is a good choice. But I sometimes see with xbox one controllers that it also works with Windows 10 and with some it is not.
Is everyone going or just where Windows 10 is?
Only the new controllers can do that. They are from the Xbox One X series
I'm only talking about the official Microsoft Xbox controllers in my answer here.
Any Xbox One controller can be used on Win10. However, only the Xbox One S controllers and the Elite V2 have "normal" Bluetooth.
The older controllers can be connected wirelessly via cables or the wireless adapter
Correction: All Xbox One S and X controllers and of course the Elite Series 2 controller support a Bluetooth connection
This does not mean the console, but the name for the controller…
From the One S and up means:
Xbox One S controller
Xbox One S Custom Controller
Xbox One X controller
Xbox One X Custom Controller
Xbox Series S controller
Xbox Series X controller
Xbox Elite Series 2 controller
In principle, both controllers are the same, but it could lead to confusion, because there's basically no XBOX ONE S controller, only XBOX ONE controller in the second revision
