Xbox One S Screen Tearing?

I plan to buy an Xbox One S (not the very first Xbox One!) Soon.

However, I have to ask you whether there are games on the Xbox One S that have screen tearing.

And if there's screen tearing on Xbox One S, is it annoying while playing a game?

Is there no screen tearing on an Xbox One X?

I look forward to your answers!

Yes there's screen tearing (this is completely normal!) but you can completely eliminate this with V-Sync and Freesync.

If you have a Freesync monitor or a Freesync compatible TV, you can also use the better Freesync from AMD.

And if there's screen tearing on Xbox One S, is it annoying for you to play a game?

For me it is extremely annoying. I don't understand why so many people switch off V-SYNC, these are the people who have no idea.

Is there no screen tearing on an Xbox One X?

Yes there's. Just like on the Xbox Series S | X, Playstation 4, Playstation 4 Pro, Playstation 4 Slim & Playstation 5. The difference is that you can eliminate screen tearing on the Xbox platforms even at 120fps.

There's, but it doesn't seem so dramatic to me now. Not very many are affected.

Of course, this is not so common at the OX.

Personally, however, I would currently no longer use a One S, but rather a One X or even a Series S.

Thanks for your answer! Have you played on an Xbox One S before?

ab

All right. But is there also the option on consoles whether you can turn V-Sync on or off?

Dy

No. Had the normal One and then switched to the One X. Now I have a Series X.

The One S is basically just a normal One with a 4K drive. There's no better hardware. That's why I would rather refrain from it.

Whereby it depends very much on the game and less on the console whether there's tearing or not.

Ma

Yes there's.

On the Xbox you can activate the "Allow variable update rate" yourself.

Ke

What @JMJreboot described is correct.

I would recommend everyone to at least turn on V-Sync. Unfortunately, I see so many tutorials where one is told that mna should definitely switch off V-Sync, but they do not go into detail and do not take into account that the screen tearing is much higher as a result.

Freesync is still more of a luxury for Xbox or Pc players, which in principle only helps you with higher frame rates.
