I plan to get an Xbox one s; The low price really impressed me. However, I'm not very experienced with consoles, so I have a few questions:
Is an Xbox one s still worth it?
Can I just walk through the stores, grab an Xbox game and be sure it is playing?
What are the disadvantages / advantages over other consoles?
The One S is comparatively a good console, especially with its 4K upscaling. And yes, usually You can play everything on it, but you have to be careful, for example with games like CoD CW, that you don't get the NextGen bundle. This version does not run properly on the Last Gen. Since the Series S only costs 299 euro, I would recommend it to you. Even if that binds you to buy all games online in the future. The One S also has a built-in HDD & is far behind the Series S in terms of performance.
A small addendum.
All available games, including the X / S optimized ones, are still pure One titles and therefore run without problems on a One.
The versions optimized for X / S will be downloaded later as a patch.
This applies to all titles except for Cod Cold War which is available in two versions.
