Would it be worthwhile to get more fps for a short time instead of using another system like linux for Windows?

I imagine that as a dual boot. Windows has many processes running in the background that require a lot of RAM and CPU. So would it be worthwhile to make a new platform that is made not to mess around in the background? If not, can you somehow tell Windows that it is not running its update service, virus scanner and Xbox extensions so that you can play lagg-free?

I generally prefer Linux, but it also has many processes running in the background. But I'm not a gamer either, for that I used a PS3 and sometimes an XBOX ONE.

Try to drastically reduce the number of your startup programs.

Maybe you can optimize the settings of your graphics card?

Re

For pure offline activity when gaming, you can also create an additional Windows XP, Win 7 or Win 8.1 partition with appropriate purification.

Linux would also work, but depending on the game you have to check whether there's suitability / support, and how far the performance optimizations for the respective game have progressed in the meantime.

Please note, however, that you have to install an external boot manager for operating systems that are installed subsequently, and that you have to provide a separate partition for each additional operating system.

You need the respective hardware drivers for each individual operating system, of course, if available.
