Fortnite doesn't work with Xbox Elite 2 controller pc?

I bought an Xbox controller today (Xbox elite 2) and wanted to play fortnite with it today, even though the controller is recognized and I can play every game and get every function of the controller, I can't play fortnite, it just works nothing. (With a ps4 controller everything works perfectly) please help
