I want to connect my controller to my new pc via USB cable but when I press the xbox sign it just flashes. Hope someone can help me

Do you have windows 10? What kind of cable are you using?

Yes I have windows 10 but without a license. As a cable I use the one that came with the rechargeable battery for the controler
