Hitman compatible with the 2nd part?

I have a question

So I own Hitman Goty Edition as a separate game and Hitman 2 on the Xbox and both campaigns work in the same game so I can play Hitman Goty in Hitman 2.

But is that the same on the PC if I get the Goty Edition can I play the campaign in Hitman 2?

Should actually go. You can also just buy the Legacy Upgrade in Hitman 2, there you have all the levels from the first part. The upgrade is just free for people who own the predecessor.
