This story really happened:
About 4 years ago I was visiting a friend. We sat like normal children at the age of 10 all the time in front of the telly, or the XBox.
When evening came, his mother drove to work and his big sister was away too. We gambled and gambled for hours until we suddenly heard a smell. We knew it was from the verander, but we didn't know what it was. When we checked there was nothing to see, but we took a baseball bat as a defense. When we got back to my friend's room, we both admitted that we were incredibly scared, but since there was nothing to be heard, we continued to gamble. After a while we heard footsteps in the hallway and when we looked through the keyhole we saw a male stranger sneaking there. Since my friend's father did not live there because his parents were divorced, we knew that this was an unknown. We immediately called my friend's mother, who called the police for us, and then came home as soon as possible, instructing us not to leave the room under any circumstances. So we locked the room and hoped for the best. When the mother and police arrived a few minutes later, the stranger was caught and turned out to be a burglar who was already known.
