New xbox controller does not work?

I ordered this controller, https://www.amazon.de/...08JW624NN/

I then made an update on the PC, it was connected with a cable. Then I wanted to connect it to my xbox but it won't turn on, when I press the xbox button, nothing happens and when I press the connect button it just flashes quickly for a while. It can't be because of the batteries, they work with the other controller. Everything works with a cable, then I disconnected the cable, then we went wireless for a while, but then it switched itself off again and the same problem was again.

Does that have to charge somehow? Can't find anything right on the Internet.

I also had problems connecting the new controller to my Xbox Series X at first. Tried over and over, restarting the console, putting the batteries in and out. After about 15 minutes it worked. Since then I haven't had any more problems with the controller.
