I've got a Nintendo Switch since today, and I noticed after a while that the joysticks make a "clicking sound" when I move them and you easily hear a spring-like sound. It feels like a crash and just not as fluid / good as the joystick of a PS4 controller, as I'm used to it.
However, this does not affect the performance and they work flawlessly. I also read the problem on other forums, but there was always a little something different and I could never really compare it.
It bothers me, however, and that's why I ask here if experienced Nintendo Switch users can tell me if it's normal.
So I think that's not so bad. But better send it to repair…
I have my switch since release. If I'm listening carefully, there's an echoing spring noise in the Joycons, sometimes a slight crackling or crackling sound on the right stick. Otherwise, I only hear the expected noise when plastic meets plastic.
When Pro controller I hear nothing extraordinary on the left stick and only the pen on the right stick, but without the short reverberation.
Swap the stick. Is there an Appel and an egg on Amazon with matching tools. Is 10 minutes work. If you still have warranty, then send in.
