Lower Ds screen black and white why?

My uncle died in 2017 I was in his office and found my old Nintendo DS that he actually wanted to repair and the bottom screen is completely white but I can't see anything but still select apps and the screen is somehow on some set black I still remember where I was 7 or 8 no idea how old but definitely I charged the ds and after charging it was disconnected and then turned on and it was strangely slightly black and white no idea why I always handled it properly someone an idea what to do?

Take this in for repairs.
