Nintendo eShop - credit card?

After making a purchase with a credit card, can I remove the credit card from the Switch device? So that again no card is stored?

Would like to use my mother's credit card to make a purchase (with her permission) and since she doesn't trust me that much at the moment I wanted to remove the credit card again so that she can be sure that I won't buy anything with it afterwards. Is it possible to remove them again?

Should work without problems according to Nintendo customer service.
