I got a Switch Lite with Animal Crossing a week ago, she accidentally threw the refund voucher away at Real, and I also vowed to take great care because it is important to me.
I had to do an update of Animal Crossing 2 days ago then the switch went out and stopped working, load in the internet stand I loaded it for 1 day and it still didn't work then some websites said 10 or 30 seconds on the power Press button. EVERYTHING HELPS NOTHING.
It doesn't come on, it doesn't light up and I'm afraid to tell my mother.
Maybe the charging cable is defective. And if that doesn't help, try checking support on the Nintendo website
Charging cable also works on cell phones and there's nothing on the website.

you can send the device in for a check-up as you look at it (probably with price)
and I'm not afraid of your mother. The worst thing she can do is scold you and you can explain to her that it is not your fault but that the device may be defective
If defective, then defect can't be changed. If the receipt is thrown away then double bad luck. Exchange not possible.
Annoying but your mother will read the Helevites. Truth hurts no matter how. Double bad luck too.
Only a new one remains to buy.
In my shop I exchange goods only on presentation of the invoice or receipt.
Devices can break down quickly, that's normal. There may already have been a defect that can only be seen now. The battery may also be defective.
It is of course stupid that the receipt is gone, but there's nothing you can do about it. You can at most try to contact the support and see if there's still a possibility. Other than a repair that is subject to a charge (since there's no receipt), I can't think of anything. In theory, you could also try replacing the battery yourself to see if the problem is due to it, but then the guarantee will expire even more and if you have no experience with the expansion anyway, I would be reluctant to recommend it.
And I don't know how your mother reacts to something like that, but I think she won't do much more than scold her, but she is also the only one who can possibly help you with such problems. That being said, she seemed to have thrown away the receipt herself, if I understood that correctly.
