Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild, what is it about?

I heard this game was supposed to be very good. A lot of people celebrate it and would even call it the best game on the Nintendo Switch. I've already watched a few trailers and lets play this game and I think the game looks really exciting and cool. However, I don't really understand what Zelda is about in general and what exactly you have to do.
Can you recommend it to those who have the game and what is it about?

Jo

It's about the fact that you fell in the fight against Ganon and slept 100 years in the time that the whole kingdom was conquered and destroyed by him and you just have to conquer it back and free the titans who will help you later in the fight against him

Personally, I didn't like it that much because you have too much freedom for my taste and no certain path that I can follow right now

Vi

So the game is about the hero and bodyguard of Princess Zelda, he wakes up in a container and doesn't remember anything, if you continue playing you learn more about the fall of the kingdom (through flashbacks). The game is actually the goal here the same as every Zelda game you have to save the princess from the villain ganondorf. I can only recommend the game to you, it is really very extensive so I don't want to go into every detail here

Okay, thank you very much, also for your personal opinion 🥰

The game is a little different from all the other Zelda games over the past 20 years.

The main plot is that Link was in a healing slumber for 100 years after being critically injured during the devastation of Ganon.

Zelda has suppressed Ganon's powers in Hyrule Castle for the past 100 years.

Now the game gives you an incredible amount of freedom.

Theoretically, you can go to Hyrule Castle and fight Ganon immediately after completing the Forgotten Plateau (practically the tutorial).

You can also practically explore the entire world without doing anything story-relevant.

But the game keeps giving you main goals. In general, there are 4 major goals in the game:

To take back the 4 titans of Ganon, who are scattered all over the world.
Recover lost memories on the left.
Get the master sword back.
Defeat Ganon.

The fight against Ganon gets a little easier with each Titan retaken. If you have all 4, however, he is really a joke.

There are also 120 shrines that are always associated with a task. These are mostly puzzles, but can also be just fighting or exploring the shrine itself (although the latter is not as easy as it sounds).

The game is especially popular because of its landscape and atmosphere.

The story is not told really big, but you still have the feeling that it is gigantic, because the game world itself tells it without words. It's just the traces of annihilation and destruction that make it up.

Definitely recommend the game. There's so much to do, but ultimately everything is optional. You don't have to do anything. You can play the game however you want without being punished.

The combat system is also very dynamic as there are so many weapons and options.

For a Switch launch title, the game is simply unimaginably good. One of the first games for the console is also probably one of the best and most popular ever.

I bought it for the Switch Lite.

I played it briefly and since then it's been lying around. Also thought it is good.

I don't like it that the guns break so quickly. And I can't handle the controls so well. Either because of the Lite or because I'm more used to the XBox Controller. I'm not sure about that

Ja

Probably more on the controller. I mean, you can also change the controls and assign buttons yourself.

The fact that the guns break is an essential part of the game, that makes up the dynamic in the fight, makes the player think about whether he should really attack the small group of opponents and which weapon to use best.

There's also a hidden level system that will make the rewards and weapons you can find better.

For this you have to defeat many stronger opponents, but there are also ways to farm strong weapons early on.

The problem of running out of weapons really only occurs at the beginning. That settles very quickly.

Pu

Gave it up very quickly. My main problem was the controls. Possibly try again 😇
