Is The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild playable without any prior knowledge?

Since I haven't had much time to gamble lately, but have a long way to go, I would like to buy a Nintendo Switch Lite. Breath of the Wild caught my eye as a game for it. I've heard and read so much good about the game.

However, I have never had any contact with Zelda in the past and wonder if I can play the game without any prior knowledge. I would also be interested in whether it works flawlessly with the Switch lite (I heard that the thing often hangs).

Do you have any experiences there?

You can play it without prior knowledge. The difference is simply that you do not know a few innuendos and do not yet know the characters so well. But the game is also designed so that a lot of people like you play it there for the first time (i.e. Play a Zelda)

I've never had such problems with the Switch Lite.

Sk

It runs without problems.

Previous knowledge is also not required.

Basically, almost all Zelda games are about the same thing, but each Zelda is nevertheless presented with a completely different world with its own story, with a few exceptions.

The hero is called Link, the princess Zelda and the opponent is Ganon or Ganodorf. The world is called Hyrule and the master sword is a special weapon that you need to defeat Ganon.

That pretty much sums up the stories of all the Zelda parts.

Have fun & stay healthy.

Ok that sounds very good, thank you.

Se

Ok then I can jump on the game without hesitation.

Kn

Yes, it is very possible. Just make sure that you don't start with expert mode (like me). XD

Se

I will take it to heart xD thank you.

Ta

I played it without any previous knowledge and thought it was great. So yes.

Se

Perfect!

There's officially a comprehensive lore and wildly branched timeline, but effectively, almost no serial branch has anything in common with the other series branches.

You always have recurring figures and races, but their meaning, role and presentation also differ from earlier parts.

Breath of the Wild makes it particularly easy for you as a newcomer. The game begins with the main character waking up from a long sleep with amnesia. What led to what happened in the past and what played a role in the past can only be learned little by little and sometimes only if you actively follow the clues in the big game world.

The Zelda series has always been known for a successful overall package. Gameplay, game world, style, puzzles, etc. Are never outstanding, but overall they are consistent. And just the plot can be written on a beer mat for each series part. So don't worry about it.

Se

Ok then I'm reassured.

Le

You don't need the master sword to defeat Ganon.
