Can you charge a switch with the USB cable of the Pro Controller without it breaking?

I recently bought a Nintendo Switch with Pro Controller. Since the plug fits into the "charging socket" of the switch, I wanted to ask if I could charge the USB cable with the switch on a car without the switch breaking.

Of course, everything is USB-C. Should therefore go without problems. Incident when the cable is from Nintendo.
