I have the following question: I got a new Asus monitor for Christmas today which supports 165hz. I wanted to test it on my ps4 (I know it supports a maximum of 60hz) and did not have an HDMI cable with the monitor, but a display port cable (double-sided) in the packaging. Of course, the monitor also has a connection for HDMI. Which connection do I need and does it support 120hz later for the ps5? LG and Merry Christmas.

Just take the HDMI cable that is currently plugged into the TV

It is best to use the HDMI connector.
DP is more intended for PCs and I don't know that consoles have such connections.
Should you ever use a PC, then you should rather prefer DP.
