Why does my headset work on my mobile but not on my controller?

I bought the hyper x cloudX Headset (1 day old). Put it in my nacon revolution 2 controller (ps4) but I only hear the sound from the right. Even if I transfer entire audio to the headset, I hear everything on the right. If I push the plug for the headset in the controller a bit to the left or pressures, I sometimes hear on both sides (as it should of course be).

there's my question, is my controller just dirty and therefore has a loose connection?

Yes. If you sometimes get a full audio by moving the clamp, it has nothing to do with software etc. Then it's just your controller or headset (which you've already correctly excluded).

But it can also be (so it sounds to me), that you did not push the plug in far enough. Often happens to my Xbox One. He always has to lock in so easily.
