I worked several times at my local gas station Total in the summer.
When I was working there, one day I would be fooled by people calling and posing as my boss's brother, he called me and said, "People are about to call about the system update of the scanner for the voucher activations. (So the thing with what you activate vouchers such as 25 euro psn card)
Then he gave me a 12-digit code and said, only pass on the data if the people from the company give you this 12-digit code in front of it.
My boss was on vacation at the time, so the others called me and of course said the code and I gave them 5 Amazon cards worth 100 euro, so the barcode etc.
I know that it all sounds very, very stupid and it doesn't help if you tell me how stupid it was, I know that.
But now we come to the problem, my boss pocketed 240 euro in my working hours and wants an additional 290 euro from me.
And this is what he wants, although I have never signed a contract, which means I'm not instructed in these areas of responsibility. (Such as never giving the data on the phone.)
I just wanted to ask now, is there no insurance or something else that can take over something like this and is it legal that he asked me this money and pocketed my money?

Sorry, that shouldn't be offensive: every company is insured against the stupidity of its employees. He is not allowed to keep the money from you. He would lose that before any labor court. He should actually file a report with the police for (telephone) fraud and then get the damage caused by his insurance company. Especially since you say yes that you were not instructed in these areas of activity.
