PS4 controller only works halfway?

My PS4 controller works without problems in the PS menu, so where you can select applications etc. But once a game loads nothing works anymore except the PS button and the Share button. After a bit of searching, I tried to turn off the controller via the menu and then turn it back on manually. Then all the buttons work except the R2 button, which is necessary in most games. It's as if the R2 button sends a constant signal, because in Rocket League the car drives without my input and in 19 players sprint through my players throughout. I only have this problem now and then. On some days everything goes normal, so a defect in the controller is not possible. Can someone help me?
