I don't see why you should suddenly only get them online after you could buy any other one on site.

At the moment it is actually the case that the PS5 is actually not going to retail for the time being because of Covid19. This is an order from Sony to dealers. It remains to be seen whether they adhere to it.

Apart from that, the PS5 will be sold out for a while anyway, as the demand and the pre-orders far exceed the supply.

That is an individual decision of each store, apart from that they will not be / stay forever.
