I have had extended memory for my PS4 for a long time. However, lately whenever I switch off my PS4 and start up again next time, I'm shown that I have not correctly separated the extended memory. Although I didn't even separate it. Why is that and what can I do about it?
Look here:
Disconnect external memory expansion
Do one of the following to safely disconnect your external storage expansion while your PS4 ™ system is on.
Select [Sound / Devices]> [Stop using extended memory] in the quick menu.
Select the external storage expansion you want to disconnect from (Settings)> [Devices]> [USB storage devices], and then [Stop using this expanded storage].
Note
If you disconnect the external memory expansion while the power indicator lamp is still on or flashing, data can be lost or damaged and the system can be damaged. Make sure you disconnect the device safely.
Should solve your problem.

Thanks, but the problem is I pull the cable that does not connect the extended memory and the ps4, nevertheless the PS4 tells me that I did not disconnect it correctly even though I only restarted the PS
Disconnecting does not mean pulling the cable, but, as with the PC, "safely removing hardware" or ejecting it with a USB stick in order to give the computer time to write data back. If you simply drag it, data can be lost and become unusable.
Disconnecting actually means giving the PS4 time to write data to the memory expansion so that no data is lost or become faulty because they are still in the working memory - e.g. Scores etc. And only be saved to the memory expansion by "correctly disconnecting" so that they can be read again the next time they are started.
So: [End use of this extended memory] - "unsubscribe" in German, then you can only disconnect. (see above under "Note")
"Disconnect" is actually the wrong expression - unsubscribing would be correct.
OK thank you for the detailed answer.
