Will the lowboard hold my television?

I bought the following lowboard: https://www.hoeffner.de/artikel/12239533

Unfortunately, I didn't even notice that the load capacity is given as just 15 kg. According to the manufacturer, it fits televisions up to 70 inches, which is a contradiction in terms.

My television: https://www.testberichte.de/p/samsung-tests/gu55tu7079-testbericht.html

→ weighs 14.2 kg… So still within limits.

Now I ask myself: Does the load capacity typically refer to the "point" load? Or the load-bearing capacity of all the objects in the lowboard.

I would like to hide a few cables, controllers, etc. In the drawers. In addition, the PlayStation 4 in one of the shelves (rear wall not pushed in due to ventilation) and a receiver from T-Home.

In short: I want to put about 14.2 kg on top (half of the weight is even distributed between the two feet due to the design of the television) and at the bottom I want to "accommodate" another 5-6 kg in the lowboard.

Do you think that will last? Or do you think that 15 kg load capacity is really the upper limit for ALL parts that are somehow accommodated on and in the lowboard?

I didn't have it in my "hand", but from the pictures alone I would say that more than 15 kg is easily possible.

If you think it is not enough, you could attach another stand in the middle. But if the thing is otherwise not made of cardboard, it will work without it.

It says there: max. So MAXIMUM! Resilience.

but mostly they are a little careful with the information…

personally i think it's nicer when the tv hangs on the wall and the cables disappear as discreetly as possible (unfortunately sometimes difficult).

but is already a bit daring, then specification tv up to 70 inches.

if you are a little technically gifted, you can of course add to the tv low-board, which you build in on the inside and on the back, to strengthen it. And possibly attach another matching foot in the middle at the front and back.

Thanks. Is my feeling too. It looks quite stable overall. I can imagine that the weight is also distributed better. The 15 kg would have to relate to a point load?

Or do you think that the contents of the drawers are included in general with the load capacity?

Gu

I also want to "only" put 14 kg on top. But I wonder if the contents of the drawers etc. Have to be counted. Can you say something from experience?

If it were really punctual force, then it would have to carry a unit accordingly, Kg / cm² for example. Maybe they write this because it wouldn't be suitable for sitting on. 15 kg is nothing for a sideboard like this - a few books, magazines and one - two plants and you're over there in no time.

Sa

Of course everything counts! Otherwise they would indicate the maximum load per compartment / floor.

but they usually give a cautious value in order not to get stressed with customers later.

However, at the price I would expect a lot more.

it is possible that the upper part will sag a little when the tv is in the middle and then press the decorative panel onto the compartments on the right and left.

I have something similar with a small sideboard about 65cm wide). However, that was only a 40 euro cupboard. 5 kilos in the drawer and this then presses on the doors below. But has been standing for 10 years.
