I bought a controller almost a week ago to be able to play Fortnite better on the iPad. To open the map in Fortnite, I have to press the touchpad, but this does not work and has never worked. If the controller is broken or working the touchpad on ipad not?
Question beforehand did you buy or use the controller completely new?

I don't know how it looks exactly, unfortunately I can't test it myself.
If you have a friend who has a Ps4, ask them if you can test the controller with them.
In the greatest doubt, give it to Saturn and say that it is not possible.
