I've been playing Planetside 2 on PS4 for about 5 weeks now and I notice a few things that I don't quite understand. Here are my questions:
Is the game pay-to-win? I see that you can buy everything for real money and that is definitely unfair for people who want to play free-to-play, like me. Because I feel like I'm always killed by a person with a blatant appearance and some good looking weapon. And when I shoot these "hardcore" players and aim mostly upside down with no problems, I didn't survive because this player kills me first. And I have almost only these hardcore gamers in front of me who are probably even playing PayToWin.
I play in the Vanu faction (purple). Mostly the heavy unit and spy, i.e. With the sniper. But I never have a chance. Somehow I only do assits and not kills. How can I get more kills and make money too?

First of all: Free2Play Games are mostly Pay2Win because they aim to make sales when they give you the game "free". However, this should usually only be an advantage in progress (e.g. Unlocking a weapon earlier that you can only get from level 50) and never that someone has more life or can do more damage.
Would you recommend a change to an assault rifle if you only get assists or no kills with the sniper
And yes, planetside 2 has been out for a long time, so that you are losing to a "hardcore" player with your 5 weeks of gaming experience is not that big of a deal.
Yes it is p2w. This gives you an advantage. (which is illogically large). I once modded everything with a self-coded client, u. Therefore, never having to farm or make money is the best way for f2p players.
How exactly did you do that Or what advantages do you have there?

None. I have with a modified own cheat engine about 8 million certs u. 500k iso4 granted, with the new update also the clan resources. Could also run around with godmode etc. But that's no fun, I mean why then pvp at all. I had one thing to mod, u. Although I don't need nanites for vehicles. (always goes to the sack) u. That I can remote control this giant ship of my faction xD
