I would like to connect my PS4 to a monitor that has a VGA and a DVI connection.
Now I want to connect my PS4 via HDMI and DVI to the monitor.
Is there a difference between DVI to HDMI or HDMI to DVI?
Is this here?
Would have to go, just ask the Media Markt.
Yes a friend of mine has already taken the cable with me - but I will come home later in the evening. Before I drive off again separately in the evening, I would do this immediately after work - depending on whether the cable is also ok or not.

DVI and VGA are the older plug, they do not transmit sound, but yes the cable you have found at Mediamarkt is compatible, but much too expensive.
I recommend you not a whole cable to buy but only a VGA-HDMI or DVI-HDMI adapter to buy. The cost is not that much, maybe look in Amazon or you might also find one at MediaMarkt.
The prerequisite for the adapter is just that you have an HDMI cable, but is so in the PS4 here.
Yes, you can also transfer sound with HDMI, but not with DVI and VGA, but you can hear the sound via the controller with headphones
Since I do not know myself so well, I have connected my gaming monitor with the Ps4 only with the HDMI cable. But I guess it will work.
