DVI is not recognized, but HDMI. What is the problem?

Have a BenQ 25 "monitor. The problem is that I use the DVI on my PC and the HDMI cable on my PS4, since my monitor has a port of both.

For problem solving, I only come when I use my PC via HDMI, but that change the cable, if I want to play PS4 times (or the other way around) would only annoy me.

My PC recognizes therefore only HDMI, although I years ago synonymous only DVI used.

Can I somehow adjust it differently or would another cable, in this case DVI to HDMI, also do the job?

I thank you in advance!

PS. Cables are only connected via graphics card

What kind of DVI port does your monitor have exactly? DVI-I, DVI-D or DVI-A?

Mo

Where exactly can I see this? Sorry for this amateurs question, haha.

Mo

I once inquired, it would have to be the DVI-D (DUAL LInk).

mo

Then there's at least schonmal not the problem. You could try it but with a HDMI to DVI adapter s.Pc times.

Do you have the monitor also switched to the correct input?

Mo

Yup.

If that brings nothing, then I can only imagine that the thing is geshared. So only 1 at the time works.
