Neverwinter MMORPG - 2021 after new update, is it worth it?

Just wanted to ask a quick question whether it is now worthwhile to start with the MMORPG "Neverwinter" on PS4? I've never played it before, but I've read a lot about "Pay-to-Win" and now there should have been an update recently, which made a lot of things worse.

I like to play alone, especially because I can only play late at night because I have a son and am married 😁 Can you get through as a solo player - at least up to Max Level (80?)? After the latest update?

At the moment I play "Bless: Unleashed" and also WoW or Rift, Archeage etc. I've played a lot and hope to discover a similar game at Neverwinter 😁

Many thanks for your response! The latest update is said to have made things worse for solo players, is there anything to it? How long do you play up to max. Level?

With pleasure!

I have to be honest and say that I haven't logged in for a while. After my question and the researchy answers on Reddit, I have fond memories of the game and find myself thinking that Neverwinter's end-game content was not made for me. That's why I can't tell you what's wrong with the rumors.

It may take 1-2 weeks for you to reach level 80. It depends a lot on which quests you do (do you play through the main story as hard as you can or do you do every side quests that are given to you?), How long you play every day and how you build your character.

It's a really nice game, I don't wanna screw this up for you. Just give it a try, it's free and has a lot of good stuff given that.

I linked you to a video from Watchmojo about Borderlands 2.

In order to have more than 2 characters you have to pay (# pay2win), but that's not bad.

This is because your character is recorded in the database and it is therefore "expensive" to maintain it.
P2W then has absolutely nothing to do with it. It doesn't give you an advantage in the game either, you just have more character slots ^^

Well, if a good multi-character player is in the same guild, maybe a little. But yes, not really a real advantage.

Thanks for the asterisk!
