Sell my PS4 steering wheel today and the buyer pays PayPal Buyer Protection.
But be a little afraid because if he simply claims the goods are damaged or something that he can easily withdraw money.
What should I do best to take proof videos and photos beforehand?
And keep the shipment number receipt in a safe place?
And if he thinks it is damaged, he can easily withdraw money. And keep fie ware? How can I get the goods back if he doesn't react and withdraws money. This buyer protection is somehow so complicated, or how do I understand buyer protection?
Why do you offer PayPal as a private person?
That's the stupidest thing you can do.
We sell quite a lot on EBAY.
It usually works like this:
If someone is not satisfied and wants to return what has been ordered, we will send them a return label. We will only issue a refund when the part is back with us.
(There are of course exceptions for items of very low value. If the return label is more expensive to us than the value of the part, we will reimburse without it being returned.)
So don't adjust the PS4 steering wheel too cheaply.
Paying or taking with PayPal is very convenient.
There are buyers who only select offers with PayPal.
The large fees are only collected from commercial providers. This is limited for private providers.
It's not about the fees. The buyer can simply withdraw his money if the item breaks in the first 180 days and then the seller is just out of luck.
The many scams in which the sellers are ripped off are also very "convenient" for dishonest buyers if the seller takes the risk of offering PayPal.
Why do you accept Paypal and take such a risk with it?
Paypal protects the buyer, but not the seller!
You should definitely send it insured and keep the receipt.
Still, if the buyer is a scam then your precautionary measures are not doing much. There are enough tricks for fraudulent buyers to rip off reckless sellers.
And then the goods and the money are gone for you.
