PS4 controller no longer charges after I repair it?

My ps4 controllers are sometimes damaged, e.g. Broken r2 buttons etc. Then I fix them and they work again. However, it was already the case with several that after my repair they no longer load, but still connect to the ps4. In addition, the light at the front is no longer lit.

Can I still repair the controllers or get them to charge and if so, how?

Buy a new controller and don't throw it against the wall next time.

It is quite possible that something has dissolved inside. The solder joints are particularly sensitive. The controllers are just not made to last these days.
