Headset usb better than aux?

My Lioncast LX60 has a USB and Aux connection. I was told by a friend that the sound quality would be better with the USB connection. The only thing that strikes me is that the sound with the aux cable is much louder than with the usb cable (usb is far too quiet).
Is that correct?

Couldn't explain to me why the USB connection delivers better sound quality if the AUX connection was made specifically for audio signals

If you connect via USB, the internal sound chip of the headset is used.

If you connect with aux, the sound chip of the PS4 is used.

You have to test and decide for yourself what brings the better sound.
