Help me with the controller?

I recently bought an Afterglow controller because my old PS3 controller gave up the ghost and a new one was too expensive for me. Now I have the problem that my controller only flashes and does not connect to the PlayStation. Can someone help me there?

I think you need to buy a new one. Nothing more can be done about that. At most (if you still have a guarantee) give it back.
