I'm currently considering buying the astro a50. I read that to be able to connect the headset to the Playstation 5 you need an adapter that you can order from astro. I've heard that I can just use the optical (that's what the required connector is called, I think) from my television. Is that correct and can I then also play in 4k and 120fps (with the adapter that is not possible). And are there any settings that I have to make? Is that like using the adapter? I would be happy if I got an answer. LG
You can also simply connect the A50 base station to the PS5 via USB and use it. You only need the optical out / input if you still want to use the headset on a PC

No, everything is normal. It does not have to be connected to the special connection. Normally it is like this: PC to USB, PS5 to optical input.
Since you only connect the PS5, you can also use USB
Do I then also have the 3D audio sound and surround sound? On various pages it says that these are not available via USB if I have understood correctly. (I hardly know anything about it)
