I would like to remove my old HDD from my PS4 Slim and replace it with a new one (both have 1TB). Since my USB ports on the PS4 are wobbly, I can no longer use them to back up the data. Can I remove my hard drive and clone it on the PC or back up the data on the PC? Then I could connect my new hard drive to the PC and then copy the data. I've read a few articles about it and I also know that the console encrypts the hard drive. But if I just read and copy the data, the encryption shouldn't have any effect on it, should it? Because the console only encrypts the hard drive itself and not the data, so it just specifies that I then have to use this hard drive.
