PS4 Minecraft Edition Updates?

Is it possible to get updates on the old PS4 Minecraft Edition? Because I would like to use Commands, that would make it a lot easier for me, but I don't like the Bedrock Edition that much, it's somehow not that smooth and half of my Redstone buildings don't work anymore. And I've invested a lot of time in it.

I'm not so sure anymore, just mostly play Bedrock it may not work because I once heard that only Bedrock and Java are supported
