Fortnite player not found?

Maybe someone can help me, I would like to add someone or add them to my friends list, but I always get the error message that the name does not exist. I play on the ps4, I have already tried to add him to the ps4 by his fortnite name, too. Does anyone know how I can find him anyway? Unfortunately he can't add me because only I have his name I have photographed him, which is why I know that no mistake can have been made.
