Sims 4 Ps4 paint walls?

I have a little problem with the Sims 4.

I want to paint the walls of my house, but I can only paint entire rooms and not single pieces anymore.

How do I switch between entire rooms and individual fields?

I have the game on Ps4.

The problem that I can only make whole rooms I have also in floors etc.

Press the left stick in the construction mode.
After that you should see the controls.

You just go with the pointer over all the fields you want to delete

So I found the solution.

You have to press L1 to switch between wall mode and room mode.
