Sony would tarnish its reputation. That costs them more money than they would make profit with tiktok. Microsoft has refused this for a reason. As blackchurch wrote.
I don't think so, as most people in the world are more likely to own a smartphone than a PS4 / PS5 / PSP etc. Also, it would end up being less user-friendly like Twitch on Playstation.
Microsoft did not reject TikTok but the other way around.
And Sony has no interest in it. Gamers are only a small intersection of the people on TikTok, which is more of a fun vlog app for everyone. Do not think that Sony sees potential in there.
In addition, the Japanese and Chinese are about as archenemies as the USA and Russia. I don't think a Japanese company would buy a Chinese company. That would tarnish their honor by saying that the Chinese are better at this and that you have to buy the technology from them.
