Hi, I already described in my previous question what the problem is. I can use Twitch, Youtube, etc., but somehow the internet still doesn't work as it should. If I want to gamble, I only get into the lobbies at both Fortnite and LoL. Not in the rounds. Screen sharing does not work on Discord. Discord keeps trying to connect in vain. It does not work. I have already tried restarting the router, restarting the PC, set my DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I also wanted to update the driver for the Ethernet, but mine was already on the latest version. But I just can't come up with the problem. I'm starting to despair and would be really grateful if someone could help me.
Possibly NAT type strict?
Sry don't know me very well, what do you mean?
Does a ping command work in the command prompt? For example "ping 8.8.8.8".
Do you play on laptop In general, check whether something is limited in the energy saving plan
Where do I have to enter that: ')
No. On the PC
In a command prompt. You can simply search for it in the field at the bottom left of the taskbar.
The NAT type distinguishes between three levels. STRICT, MODERATE & OPEN. These are quasi security levels. Strict is the safest because most connections are denied, while OPEN allows any connection. This is explained for multiplayer modes in games. So if you gamble a lot, moderate or better an open NAT type is best.
Reset router. Possibly. Malfunction.
Please update the firmware of the router and then test it.
how do you get to the surface of the router?
-press "CTRL + R"
-enter "cmd"
-Type "ipconfig" in the console
- then there's your IP and the "gateway" and next to it the address
- Enter the gateway address in the router.
(with Fritzbox you can also use "fritz.box" or "192.168.178.1" and for a Speedport it would be "192.168.2.1" or "speedport.ip"
-Password (insofar it is not set "0000" in old Fritz boxes, otherwise it is on the back of the router or on an enclosed slip of the packaging.
-Then it depends on your router how to reset it.
I entered it, then it was executed and closed
How do i see the NAT type?
Okay, I'll try tomorrow. ^^
Otherwise just report again, then we'll take a look.
When you execute the command you should see something like "Answer from 8.8.8.8: Bytes = 32 Time = 10ms TTL = 57". If an error occurs instead, the Internet will not work properly.
Try to reset your network. You can do this in the Windows settings under "Network and Internet".
Windows Key + R. Not Ctrl
Ouh yes of course. Sorry
Win + r, cmd, ping 8.8.8.8
Not at all on the PC. I'm not 100% sure, but if you open the router configuration (different, depending on the router manufacturer), you can activate "UPnP". Possibly. Can you google which ports the game uses (e.g. LoL) and release them individually.
I have already released the ports on the firewall
Thank you.
With the firewall AND router
Okay, I'll try xd tomorrow too
The ping command has already worked.
Have you already reset the network? Name me a few pages that don't work at all.
By the way, you could change the ping command a little. "ping -t 8.8.8.8". You let it run for several minutes. If an error occurs from time to time, this indicates problems. The time that is displayed in each line should always be well below 100 ms in the test.
I have just reset my network. Now i have no internet xD anymore
Did you also restart the PC?
Open the Windows settings and click on "Network and Internet / Status". What is "Network Status"?
Open a command prompt and enter "ipconfig". What does "IPv4 address" and "standard gateway" mean?
