I once had the button for the quality setting in my livestreams. So that you can screw down from 720p but since last week viewers can only watch 720p. I'm not yet a partner on Twitch but last week the setting was still there.
Is this a bug or why is this setting suddenly gone?
Non partners only get quality settings when there are enough encoding resources available, randomly selecting streamers who get these resources.
Many streaming services have throttled bandwidth
Youtube
Disney
Netflix
Amazon
etc.
because because of Corona many people are at home and there's a lot of streaming in addition to home office. So that the networks do not collapse under the data load, the bandwidth has been reduced for many, I suspect sometimes at Twitch
