I always find the portal better where I can find what I want to see.
Youtube has advantages, Twitch the advantages.
Can't be said across the board. Everyone has to decide for themselves.
Personally, I watch streams almost exclusively on Twitch. There I find it more user-friendly and I find what I'm looking for a lot easier. The problem with YouTube is that I don't really notice streams. You don't see them like they do on Twitch.
Therefore, if I wanted to stream personally and had to make a decision, I would choose Twitch.
Twitch is meant to be live streams. It's generally better to stream there too. Personally, I only watch streams on Twitch. You can then upload videos (gameplay, etc…) to Youtube, which is also much better. Youtube is just meant for videos and not live streams.
Just stream on both portals as long as you are not an affiliate, nothing speaks against it
