How do I stream on Twitch using Nintendo Switch?

I'd love to stream on Twitch sooner or later. Since I will definitely not own a PC in the near future, I would like to do that with my Nintendo Switch.

I know that somehow you need a capture card and something, but otherwise I'm completely inexperienced.

Could anyone who knows exactly how it works, who will probably do it himself, explain it to me step by step and tell me what it takes?

Please also not with any technical terms, thank you.

The capture card is of no use if you don't have a PC.
Even with a console & a capture card you need a PC. You can't avoid a PC, especially in your case.

Console to Twitch> no problem
PC to Twitch> no problem
Switch to Twitch> not possible

I have a laptop. My only concern was that I didn't have a PC / laptop with which gaming and streaming would work

However, the laptop must be suitable for encoding, which is usually counterproductive due to the heat it generates. The capture card is used for signal transmission. The real work is done by the PC.

The laptop only has one HDMI output, so it can't receive data from other devices, you need a capture card for this. You plug this into the HDMI connection of the laptop and into the capture card the HDMI cable that comes from the dock of the switch.

That means you have the switch in the dock and you connect it to the laptop via the capture card, then you should have the image of the switch on the laptop screen. If you also have a screen recording program, you can record or stream what you play on the switch, for example you can Use OBS.

I don't stream, but I've already recorded content from the Switch.
