Why can't I find channels on Twitch?

Very simple, I'm looking for friends in the search function. Your names are correct. I saw them all in the Twitch chat and they sent me their names.

Nevertheless, there are always zero results.

Here is an example:

Battle kitten

No results found for battlekaetzchen.
What's going on there? The accounts are not new, they are not bots. They don't stream themselves, but they watch and also chat in the stream.

Please give a simple and correct answer to what's going on.

Let them send you the exact link from Profile and open the😀

Some users are not easy to find with a search, which seems to be the case especially if they have never streamed anything on their channel.

So it will be because you will not find the channel so easily.

(When searching for the ID, if you want to give away a sub, you can find the users, for example.)

You can still call up the channel if you know the username. For example, by simply writing the username behind https://www.twitch.tv/...twitch.tv/, in this specific case…

https://www.twitch.tv/....tv/battle kitten

And when looking for friends, you should also find the user easily. See:

If the user does not show up, something is wrong with you and you could report the bug to support.

But it would be even easier than searching for the user simply by clicking on the name in the chat.

Wow that was a great answer. Mega helpful. Not only did you explain the problem to me, you also helped me to find it. Thank you very much! Incidentally, it worked for my other buddy.

Thanks, that would have been an option too. But thanks to Mihisu's solution, I was able to find both friends on Twitch thanks anyway

Oh, didn't know that something like that is possible. But that's right, you could have thought of it yourself xD
