I've been considering starting YouTube or Twitch for years. I can't imagine working for someone and would like to start my own business, but I wanted to ask what exactly I should look out for when doing something like this? I definitely want to bring gaming because gaming has been a part of my life since I was a child.

This is the dream of many, but very few people can really make a living from it.

I strongly advise against it because the competition is simply too great and the likelihood that you will really earn money with it that you can also live on is very low.

Well, you should be able to speak freely, have good equipment and be lucky. And of course a lot of time! Some of the big ones have been there for 10 years.

You should fight for your goals then I think it will work out at some point because nothing does not come.

I wish you that it works and that you fight for your goal I just tell you that is very unlikely because the competition is too high.

I would recommend you do an apprenticeship or build up a real foothold, and do this gambling on the side and then see how it develops? That would be sensible

In the end, these days you can only do it with a quick HYPE. With a video you have to e.g. Go viral and keep this hype accordingly! Anything else would actually only be seen as a hobby - because you wouldn't earn any money with it

You are most likely to be successful if you play games that interest the majority. Thousands of other German / American Youtubers do this, there's something for every taste.

The chance that you will be successful without someone pushing you is very slim.

1. First of all, the channel banner and the channel logo should be good because that would be the first thing your future subscribers will see when they look at your channel.

2. Your channel name should be memorable and easy to remember

3. You should try to bring out new videos every week, if possible every day so that the chance increases that more people will be aware of your videos

4. Pay attention to the thumbnail (the picture you see before you click on the video). The thumbnail should be very good because you want people to feel motivated to watch the video

5. Give the video a good name that entices you to watch

6. Always use the same or a similar greeting and the same or similar goodbye in your videos because that creates familiarity for your viewers and repetition is good anyway.

7. In your video, calmly say that you should give the video a like, subscribe to the channel and ring the bell because if you explicitly mention this, the chance that more viewers will actually do it increases.

8. Just start and don't put it off too long because that's the reason why some don't even start with YouTube

9. Be patient and persevere even if you are not immediately known. Many do not hold out long enough and give up, because it can take half a year or more until you realize that it is worth it and that you gain more viewers.

I think that's enough for the beginning, just start and keep busy with the topic
