Short question to those who are familiar with taxes.
Yesterday I got my first livestream on Twitch and there was 2x a "donation" of 1 euro. Now my question is how I or if I ever have to tax the "donation". I'm still 15 years old and do not earn anything yet. The donations go to a Paypal account that I created and where my name stands. If you have to pay taxes, how does that work or do my parents do it?
Basically, I can only tell you, you have to tax everything yourself, your parents have nothing to do with it. If and how you have to pay taxes, someone else can explain you better here.
OK. Everything clear.
Of course you do not have to pay 2 euro tax.
However, this is not a "donation" It does not matter how it is called there.
In principle, EVERY income is taxable.
OK. When should I start thinking about taxing? I read something from "Business Login". Should I already be thinking?
You can't register a trade because you are not of legal age. But you can't conclude legally valid contracts.
These "donations" are not donations within the meaning of appropriate tax laws or are not subject to corresponding tax benefits. That counts more as a gift or income.
At donations, there's a free allowance of about 20000 EUR within 10 years for gifts from people who are not related to you. (Large donations must indeed be reported to the tax office, even if they are still in the allowance, but the "donations" you mentioned are so small that you do not have to report extra to the tax office.)
For income there's a basic allowance of about 9000 EUR per year for single persons.
It does not matter whether the "donations" you mentioned count as donations or income. Taxes you will not have to pay, because you will hardly exceed the corresponding allowance (since you also wrote that you currently do not deserve anything).
But I'm not a tax expert. This is just a little rough knowledge of what you have as an adult person. Therefore, there may be other people who have more idea than me.
Thanks for the helpful answer. I was in the question so only drum if I have to pay tax or not.
