Twitch commercial + full-time job?

I work full time (40h) and earn around 30,000 euro a year. Now I have the opportunity to continue as an affiliate on Twitch. I would also like to use this - not really because of the money but because of the many advantages.

now I ask myself a lot of questions:

what should I put attention on?

what is the maximum number of hours I can do? Some speak of a rest period?

What is the maximum amount I can earn so that there are no problems with taxes?

am I not allowed to work on weekdays?

my last question: if I apply for a new job somewhere - is that something negative that icu is doing twitch on the side? Work in Marketing Management.

Sn

I wouldn't recommend this to you. It doesn't have that many advantages - rather disadvantages.

Wa

But I don't want to give it up either: /

Sn

You don't need an A. To grow up and make money

Re

You won't get any money anyway… First of all.
The affiliate program is just a marketing scam. Not more.

now I ask myself a lot of questions:

Well… All of your questions can be summed up in one answer:

You need a business
You have to communicate your sideline to your boss
You have to file your own tax return for the business every year. Normally this falls under the small business regulation, i.e. EÜR to the tax office if you earn less than 22,500 euro in the 1st year. Then you don't have to pay any taxes.
Strictly speaking, it reduces your chances of being hired if you state that you still have a job on the side.

And a clever person knows how to start everything with these 4th points.

Wa

Thank you! What about the working hours?

Ni

You have to follow the Twitch terms and conditions
No, there's no such thing as rest periods on Twitch, otherwise there would be no 24h and 48h streams
There's no limit to how much you can earn with Twitch, you just have to pay attention to the tax bracket
you can work every day
no, there are no problems, I know a Twitch streamer who is also a medical doctor, but there can be differences depending on the boss

Ni

So I can't answer all your questions, but since there are no answers yet, I'll give it a try…
In itself you first have to clarify a bit of legal issues, since you work I assume that you are an adult so that shouldn't be a real problem, because even if you don't understand something, the good Twitch support can help you.

In itself there's no limit to the hours you can stream, but you are not allowed to sleep in the stream or make an afk stream, that does not mean that you can go afk for a short time, just that it should not be too long. I've also seen people who were afk for the first hour but that had no effect.

Up to 410 euro profit you don't have to pay anything extra, but it can happen that if you earn a lot or are out to earn something, then you have to register a trade.

I don't quite understand what you mean by: Am I not allowed to work on weekdays? You mean

No in itself that shouldn't cause any problems, but you have to consider that they could look at your channel and would see if you should take time off and then stream. It could also be a problem if you stream a lot, so much that you think it could be distracting. But otherwise it could also be positive, as it means that you are committed and that is very popular with employers.

Thank you! According to the law, you can only do 8 hours on weekdays (job + part-time activity). That is then not possible with streaming

Ni

Streaming is not one of them

Sa

If you are of legal age (which is probably the case if you work full-time) there's no limit to how much you can work (if you were not of legal age, it wouldn't be too much)

You have to register a business from a certain amount

Sa

Why do you have disadvantages

Sn

Partly because of Twitch's disgusting ban policy

Sa

Can one not be banned as not afillate?

Sn

But. But that has fewer consequences for you than with A.

I agree!
